I Do Believe . . .

            I do believe that the government should provide child day care centers for working parents. I may not have any little brothers or sisters and my parents may not need that extra help, but I just feel like this is common sense to me. If adults are put in this situation and they need some extra help, then they should be given freely this extra help. This not only assists the working parents, but it could also create a couple new jobs for other people in need of a little financial help.

            However, money may be an issue when it comes to this situation. This is also a new way to help out younger people who are in need of this opportunity for a school project or assignment. This could also be a “fix” for someone who is just plain craving to do a good deed for nothing in return. So maybe for once, just once, the government could reach out to us and show us that they maybe actually DO care.

* Star *

          When someone asks me "what I value the most", the first thing that appears in my mind is: Love, Family, and Friendship. But when I truly think of this, I realize that I want to be more original and specific. When I got the chance to think harder about this subject, I thought of someone that fit all of those ideas. This someone is my best friend, sister, and my dog, Star. I thought of this assignment as the perfect opportunity to say how I truly feel about her before she leaves up for doggy heaven.

            These last few weeks, she has been sick and the doctors do not think she is going to make it. Since I have been spending most of my time feeding her, giving her medicine, and trying to make her last few days with us as painless as possible, I have had enough time to realize how I truly feel about her. She is not just an animal or our pet; she is a part of our family. She has been a part of this family since I was around 5 years old. She has been here from the beginning and none of us will ever forget her.
            I consider Star not only my pet, but also my best friend and sister. Star is one of those dogs that has always been happy and excited even when everyone is upset, and she knows when to be around and when to disappear. For example: if mom is yelling, then she knows to get out of her way, but afterwards when I need someone to talk to or just someone to be here for me, I know she will be right there to cheer me up. Last but not least, I would like to say that I have valued the time, friendship, and love that has been spent with Star, and she will never be forgotten.

My Sunny Summer ;*

                My summer is a little difficult to explain. I can't say that my summer was the worst because I spent most of my time with the people I love the most, My best friends and my family. This summer, I did many things, but I spent most of my time at Cedar Point with my best friends. Now, you may think that going to C.P. each week may get a little  irritating, draining and/or tedious but you would be wrong. Spending hours in a lengthy line with aching body parts and sweat dripping everywhere all paid off with the rush of a 17 second leading up to a 420 ft. hill, going 120 mph. This summer was perhaps one of the hottest ones I have ever experienced, especially while walking around everywhere partially dressed, with a hefty bag on your back. Although I ended with some bruises, I'm so blessed that I have had the opportunity to spend my summer, all day and night, doing death-defying things and being able to do these things with my best friends. And that, was My Sunny Summer.

My name, is Jasmine. (;

Go on and ask me “what are you trying to do?
This flower, its nothing, nothing like you.”
Good morning all yes its time to get up,
the sun raises, a volcano ready to erupt.
Perked up on a warm summer day,
nothing like the suns bright rays,
To make me feel garish and light,
I sparkle like a firefly ready to take flight.
I feel the sun as I try to resist,
Ready, I am for that cooling mist.
As the sunset begins, the light descends,
The night stars instigate a blend.
It’s a new dawn, a new day,
The sun rises to fight the grey.
As I mature I may imbue others
with the joy, happiness, and brightness of my colors.
We are very alike, the flower and I,
I believe I did it, I convinced you didn’t I?
A poem with a picture, look at the caption.
Like this flower, my name is Jasmine.

My number one rule.

         My number one rule would have to be: to treat people the way you want to be treated. I think this because it is a very good lesson and it works with everyone, including teachers. For example: If you treat someone with respect and kindness, you can expect the other person to treat you the same way. That is why "treating people the way you want to be treated." is my number one rule.
