Mommy .

Mommy,

Although this letter will not be given to you, I just want to tell you how thankful I am to have you in my life. I know you do not think that I care for you much or that I am not grateful for all the supporting actions you do, but in all honestly those assumptions are wrong. From cooking to cleaning, providing, and loving, I know I have all that I need. I know you become agitated and annoyed when I lock myself in my room with my laptop and ignore you all day but you need to understand that I am a teenage girl and that is normal. Do not take this so personally. I also want you to know that when you feel lonely and sad and I do not show sympathy it is not because I do not care but because I do not know how you feel. I have gone through a broken heart many times but I have never had something like you and dads relationship. Something you thought was so strong. In conclusion, I just want to say that I love you and I will always be there for you. I may not be able to help much, not being in your situation, but my arms will be open whenever needed.

Forever & Always,
Your Daughter,
Jasmine

My Role Model!

My role model would have to be my grandma. My grandma is one of the strongest women I have ever met. Within the last few years she has had to experience the death of her son, her brother has had several surgeries, and she has been in and out of the hospital several times. I do not know any other person that can go through events as traumatic as those and still come out with a smile on their face. Through all of the pain and tears, my grandma has managed to keep her relationship with God. I think this is another reason how she managed to get through. This is the kind of person that I want to become. When I get to be my grandma’s age, I want to be the kind of lady that everyone remembers. I want to be known as a nice, fun, and respectable person.
