The Truth about The Truth

            I believe that telling the truth in extreme situations is very necessary. For example, a situation where someone has used plagiarized material in a competition or contest would be a perfect time to tell the truth. I am not saying that someone should lie in mild situations, because I am sure the result still may not be beneficial. Even though it may seem easier to just make up a lie, it is not. Yeah, one may be able to keep a lie going for a little while, but somehow it will all come crashing down. I think the only advantage of lying may be to protect a certain person from possibly getting hurt by the truth. The biggest disadvantage of lying is that lies may pile up and pile up until one cannot keep up with them any more. Once someone slips up once, even if only a little, the lies all come crashing down.
